I vaguely remember Sherry in school.  However we discovered each other on FaceBook.  At opposite ends of the political spectrum,  we were constantly at each other in disagreement.  We agreed to disagree and always stayed respectful and friends.  In getting to know her, let me just say that I admired her a lot, not only for standing up to me, but the fight she endured over several years with cancer.  Her death came suddenly to me, for I learned it much later after the fact, and it ended with me owing her something.....she was such a hard fighting woman, that I couldn't help but admired her for that, at the end, I told her that the first time I saw her, I would give her one of the biggest hugs for all that she had been thru..."Sherry, I never paid you that hug that I promised, but if at the end, hopefully God will permit to stop briefly in heaven and give that to you, for without a doubt that is where we will find you"..... I can't remember the high school team she rooted hard for out of the Houston area, but I bet she's cheering them on right now....we miss and love you my friend, I hope you'll allow me to call you that.
