Patricia (Kassner) Louise Hawkins, age 57 of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 18, 2011 in McKinney. She was born on August 5, 1953 to Benjamin Anthony and Helen Sophie (Pinkert) Kassner. Patty was an Accountant having attained a BS in Accounting from Texas A&M and recently received a Certification in Biblical Studies from the University of Dallas. She was very active in many ways at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco and was at one time Treasurer of the Women’s Club.

Judy Olsovsky (1971)

Pat was one of my best friends growing up. So sorry to hear that she died at such a young age. She was a great friend.

Kathy (Kareemah) Mullen (1971)

We were in St. Elizabeth's Elementary School from 1st-8th grade. Lovely person. I remember her mother passing when we were in 6th grade.  She is in my prayers.

Patrice Eicher (Taylor) (1971)

Another SES classmate that passed too soon.  Patricia and her entire family were just good people.  Who can forget when her Mom passed (we were in 6th grade) - all of us felt the pain of loosing her Mothee at that young age.

Just a mention of her brothers and sister, since the obit doesn't:  oldest brother was Dennis (he spent some time in the seminary studying for the priesthood); another brother, Clyde, then Pat's sister, Jonell - 1 grade above Pat.

Pat:  Rest eternally in the peace of Jesus, your Savior. Amen.

Patricia Louise Hawkins, age 57 of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 18, 2011 in McKinney. She was born on August 5, 1953 to Benjamin Anthony and Helen Sophie (Pinkert) Kassner. Patty was an Accountant having attained a BS in Accounting from Texas A&M and recently received a Certification in Biblical Studies from the University of Dallas. She was very active in many ways at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco and was at one time Treasurer of the Women’s Club. Patty is survived by her son, Shaun Hawkins of Austin, Texas; sister, Jonelle Peppin and her husband, Paul of Marquette, Michigan; brothers, Clyde William Kessner and his wife, Bonnie of Duncan, Oklahoma and Dennis Kessner and his wife, JoAnne of Laurel, Maryland. Patty was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and was the proud great-aunt to two great-nieces. The family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 beginning at 6:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Vincent Anyama presiding. An Inurnment will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia, Texas.
