Felma S. Garcia passed away on November 14, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Serapio Serna Sr. and Aurora G. Serna. She was born on January 27, 1950. Felma was loved dearly by many friends, neighbors and family. She was held as a special person in lives of many. She was a teacher and administrator for Alice I.S.D. She was also an active member at St. Joseph Catholic Church serving in different ministries, Charismatic Prayer Group being the most recent.

Felma is survived by her loving husband, Ruben R. Garcia, children: Ruben R. (Cecilia) Garcia Jr., Ronaldo "Ronny" (Lauren) Garcia and Felicia M. Garcia. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Ruben, Ayla and Ryan Garcia; brothers, Serapio (Rosa) Serna Jr., Julian "PeeWee" (Rosario) Serna and Mario (Nelda) Serna; brother-in-law, Romeo R. (Betty) Garcia and sisters-in-law, Maria Arredondo and Dolores (Rick) Fenters; nieces and nephews, Melissa R. Serna, Ceasar Serna, Stephanie (Roman) Silva, Nelissa "Nellie" Serna, Marisela (Wayne) Maroney and Marco Serna.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, Texas, with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m., that evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, November 18, 2016, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at the New Collins Cemetery.
