Gary Ray Lambert - Class Of 1968 VIEW PROFILE

CALDWELL, Tex. (KBTX) - Gary Ray Lambert (66), a sanitation worker for the city of Caldwell passed away on Wednesday following a work-related accident.

Gary was a 1968 graduate of William Adams High School in Alice, Texas.  He was on duty when an accident happened around 7:40 a.m. on 6th Street in Caldwell.  According to DPS, Lambert was on the side rail of the vehicle when he fell off. Authorities say the garbage truck backed up and hit Lambert, who died at St. Joseph Hospital in Caldwell.  Lambert was employed with the City of Caldwell since November 2005.

"I would like to extend my deepest condolences to Mr. Lambert's family and friends," said City Administrator Johnny Price.

The accident is being handled and investigated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. The investigation continues.

Gary is survived by his wife Shirley.

Jo Nita Love (Adams) (1968)

I am totally shocked!!  Gary just lived a short distance from me.  I always thought Gary was a really great guy!!  He was funny and always had a smile on his face!  May God comfort and bless his family.  Rest in peace, Gary.
