Survived By: Kenny is survived by family who loved him dearly: brothers, Jim (Susie) Tipps of Orange Grove, Texas and Steven (Laurie) Tipps of Sandia, Texas; sisters, Judy (Steve) Costley and Carole (Lamar) Bowden both of Alice, Texas and his many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Rex Tips, son of D.C. "Curly" and Helen Tipps, was born and raised in Alice, Tx and graduated in 1972. In the mid-80s he moved to Tallahassee to join the staff of a Christian boys home. He later owned a construction business and in 2002, he obtained his mortgage broker’s license and was self-employed until the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Jason Lamar Bowden and Preston Wayne Tipps. He is missed by all his family and his many friends. A memorial service was held at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice, Texas on August 13, 2007.
