Allen had a long battle w diabetes. I'm not sure what took him the diabetes or kidney failure. He was very talented as a musican in highschool and went to state playing his cornett. I don't remember if he place 1st or 2nd in state.
Allen Pearson was a great trumpet player. He twice was first chair for the All State Symphonic Band. Performing with him in the WAHS Band and with the Del Mar Wind Ensemble was an honor. He was one of Bryce Taylor's best musicians, ever.
I can barely picture Allen from high school. It has been over over 50+ years, and I am sure we've changed a bit. Wish we could maybe come up with one's high school picture in rememberance of him, or anyone else for that matter. I'm scatching my brain, trying to remember contacts with him, and I know that we had some interactions. We didn't run the same circles, but we had some good contact/memories. I just hate it , and out of respect for him, that I could have a picture to recollect him by...thanks.
