David G. Lee - Class Of 1963 VIEW PROFILE

SAN?ANTONIO, Texas - David G. Lee, 65, passed away in his home in San Antonio on May 6, 2010. He was born to Henry and Mary D. Lee on November 20, 1944 in Alice, Texas. He married Lei Mabry in Alice, and moved to San Antonio in 1963, where he was involved in sales for more than 30 years. He was honored with numerous awards for salesmanship and leadership.

An avid fisherman, hunter, and race car driver, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their ranch home in Camp Wood, Texas. A devoted grandfather, he treasured the time spent with his granddaughter and grandson.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lei; son Richard Lee and his wife Imelda and their children Rachel and Ryan of San Antonio; his sister Kathy Smith and her husband Ron Smith of Alice; and his niece Miranda Smith Rodrigues and her husband Nate of Round Rock, Texas. David is also survived by Lei's family, Clarence Mabry and family and Budge Mabry and family. He was preceded in death by brothers Gaston Mills, Edsel Lee and Beryl Lee.
Memorial services will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Lackland Terrace Church of Christ, 2000 SW Loop 410 (between Highways 151 and 90). Officiating will be Pastor Brian Garnett of the Nueces Canyon Church of Christ in Camp Wood. Cremation will follow.

Remembrances may be made through donations to the American Diabetes Association and Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund. David will be deeply missed by everyone.

Donald McWhorter (McWhorter) (1964)

David was my childhood playmate. We lived almost next door to each other. Rest in peace.
