Lynda Janette Beasley

Shreveport, LA - Lynda Janette Beasley passed away February 28, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 9, 1952 in El Paso, TX.

Anyone who knew Lynda would tell you that she was a vivacious and loving woman who made a wonderful life for herself despite many obstacles. In 1992 she began work at The Real Estate Book of Shreveport/Bossier as the Production Manager and eventually became the owner of The Real Estate Book in 2000. Upon retirement she spent as much time as possible traveling and visiting family. When she wasn't on the road, she was a devoted grandmother who loved to spoil her two grandchildren, Warner Dale and Emma Day, as much as possible. Lynda's fondest and dearest childhood memories were of the times spent on her grandparents' farm in Devine, TX with her older brother and cousins. She loved telling funny stories of the adventures they had on the farm together. These memories always made her smile, and she held on to them until her last breath.

Lynda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Beatrice Evelyn Baker and Jefferson Devro Baker, parents Allton Buck and Beatrice Cravens, stepmother Eula B. Cravens, and beloved daughter Jeri Dale Grantham. She is survived by her son Jesse Dwaine Grantham and wife Hillary Grantham, two grandchildren, Warner Dale and Emma Day Grantham, Uncle Leon Baker and wife Mary Ann, Uncle Glenn Baker and wife Marie, brother Arthur Cravens and wife Sarah, several close cousins, Jenny Soignet and husband Clarence, Eve Boone and husband Curby, Mari Terra and husband Jose, Dee Stewart and husband Pat, Sherry Tapscott and husband Frank, Marlene Wunder and husband Bud, Tex Baker and wife Mindy, half-brother Clayton Cravens and wife Vicki, half-sister Beverly Reeves and husband Conrad, and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Maxwell Chip McDonald, Dr. Michael Durci and Greg Sonnenfeld of Willils-Knighton Cancer Center and Dr. Sathya Jaganmahon of Gastroenterologists of Shreveport for all of their wonderful care. Thank you Robin, Ryann and Debbie of Christus Homecare Hospice for easing the process. A special thanks to Jenny & Clarence Soignet, Arthur & Sarah Cravens, and Karen & Ray Day for all of your love, care and support.
