Neal Willams - Class Of 1968 VIEW PROFILE

Neal Williams, of Jacksonville, Ark., slipped quietly away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009. He was born Aug. 31, 1950, in Alice, Texas, to Dr. Joseph Williams and Thurston Daniel Williams, who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of LSU and lived many years in Baton Rouge before moving to Arkansas to be with family. He loved history and served as curator/registrar at the West Baton Rouge Parish Museum in Port Allen and as curator of collections/registrar of the Louisiana State Museum in New Orleans. He was a former partner of Design For Living in Baton Rouge. Neal was a veteran, serving during the Vietnam War as chief duty N.C.O. of the Pershing War Room Brigade. He was employed by Experience Works of Jacksonville. Neal is survived by his brother, Joe Williams, of Gravel Ridge, Ark.; sisters, Carole Williams, of Sherwood, Ark., and Thurston Williams, of San Marcos, Texas; his second mother, Verda Belle Bolser, of Alice; nieces, Liesse Langlois and spouse Jerry, of Quitman, Texas, and Kate Jones, of Cabot; nephews, Joseph Williams and spouse Rebecca, of North Little Rock, Ark., John Cornett and spouse Teresa, of Georgetown, Texas, and Neal and Justin Cornett, both of Texas; and best friends, Harold and Dolly. Jo Nita Love (Adams) (1968)
